Engaging Employees in the Brand Develpment Process Leads to Job Satisfaction

Employees
The Conference Board reported this week that a recent survey conducted by their organization found that only 45 percent of Americans are satisfied with their jobs, which is the lowest level in the 22 years that they have being doing the research. Of course the recession plays a role by increasing people's anxiety about job security and employee benefits packages being at risk.

If we look at the glass half-full, or more than half-full, 55 percent of Americans are satisfied with their jobs. I argue that those are employees who work for themselves, or who work for organizations that engage them in the brand development process. Organizations that realize placing a high value on their employees, and helping their employees understand the organization's mission and core values leads to satisfied employees.

I anticipate that the organizations have ainternal branding program that assists employees in how best to live the brand which creates effective ways to recruit and retain brand champions. I guarantee these are organizations that regularly have employees participate in employee satisfaction surveys and listen to their employees. Are your employees satisfied? Do you know? Does your organization know how to recruit and retain brand champion employees?
